„Pirk dramblį” // „Buy an elephant”

Vienos dalies monospektaklis pagal Dovilės Zavedskaitės pjesę „Dramblys“ – apie tiesą ir atvirumą. Leisti sau ir kitiems jausti jausmus, nebūti abejingiems vieni kitiems – neslėpti dramblių kambariuose, pamatyti juos ir įvardinti. 

Jausmai mus daro išskirtinius ir laisvus, bandydami juos užspausti užsidarome kambaryje su drambliu ir bandome įsivaizduoti, kad jo čia nėra. Bet dramblys lieka kambaryje net jei užsimerkiame ir kartojame, kad jo čia nėra. O jo atsikratyti – ne taip lengva.

Spektaklio metu išvysite portretą žmogaus, kuris išgyveno tokius stiprius įvykius savo vaikystėje, to kuris staiga neteko visko pats to nesuprasdamas. Vaikystės patirtys keliauja kartu su mumis ir turi didžiulės įtakos suaugus. Labai dažnai norint suprasti save ir kylančius sunkumus, privalome atsigręžti į savo vaikystę.

This mono-performance is based on Dovilė Zavedskaitė’s play „Elephant” – which tells about the truth and openness. To allow yourself and others to have feelings and not to be indifferent to each other – not to “hide elephants” in rooms, but the opposite – to notice them and name them.

Feelings make us unique and free. Trying to suppress our feelings is like closing ourselves in the room with the elephant and trying to imagine that it is not here. But the elephant remains in the room even if we close our eyes and repeat that it is not here. And getting rid of this is not so easy.

During the performance you will see the portrait of a person who experienced extremely significant events in his childhood and who suddenly lost everything without realizing it. Childhood experiences travel with us and have a huge impact on our adulthood. In order to understand ourselves and the difficulties that arise we often must look back to our childhood.
